By accessing, browsing, or purchasing from this website (“Site”), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not place an order or use this Site.


1. General Conditions

  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, at any time, for any reason permitted by law.
  • Prices, product details, specifications, finishes, and availability may change without prior notice.
  • We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site or services at our discretion, without liability to you or any third party.
  • Your continued use of the Site following any updates to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Order Acceptance & Fulfillment

  • All orders placed through the Site are offers to purchase and are subject to our acceptance. We may refuse or cancel any order for reasons including, but not limited to, suspected fraud, product availability, or pricing errors.
  • Standard (non-custom) orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days, unless otherwise specified on the product page or during checkout.
  • Order changes or cancellations are accepted within the first 12 hours after placing the order. After that time, we cannot guarantee that changes or cancellations can be applied.
  • Production of custom-made items begins immediately upon order confirmation. Custom-made items include, but are not limited to:
    • Engraved plates or custom laser-engraved items
    • Unlacquered aged brass plates
    • All 3-gang, 4-gang, and 5-gang configurations
    • Any made-to-order or special-request layout
  • Custom-made items are non-cancelable and non-returnable once production has started.
  • Typical production time for custom configurations is approximately 2–3 weeks, depending on complexity and order volume. This timeframe is an estimate and not a guaranteed delivery date.

3. Payment Terms

  • All prices are displayed in U.S. Dollars (USD) unless otherwise indicated.
  • Payment in full is required at checkout. Orders will not be processed until payment has been successfully authorized.
  • We accept major credit and debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shopify Payments, subject to change at our discretion.
  • By submitting payment information, you represent and warrant that you are authorized to use the chosen payment method and that the payment information provided is accurate.

4. Shipping & Delivery

  • Available shipping methods, estimated delivery times, and costs will be displayed at checkout.
  • All shipping and delivery timelines are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Delays caused by carriers, customs processes, weather, or other factors outside our control do not constitute a breach of these Terms.
  • Risk of loss and title for items pass to you upon our delivery of the order to the carrier.
  • International customers are responsible for any applicable customs duties, taxes, import fees, or brokerage charges. For U.S. domestic orders, all applicable duties are typically included in the purchase price.
  • If a shipment is refused or returned due to non-payment of duties, incorrect address, or failure to collect, any associated costs (including return shipping) may be deducted from any refund, where applicable.

5. Return & Exchange Policy

We want you to be fully satisfied with your purchase, while also maintaining safety and product integrity. The following conditions apply to all returns and exchanges:

  • Returns for non-custom, non-engraved items are accepted within 14 days of delivery, based on the delivery date provided by the carrier.
  • All return requests must be submitted through our official Return Form or via the contact form on our Contact page before sending items back.
  • Unless the item received is defective or incorrect, customers are responsible for the cost of return shipping.
  • Returned products must:
    • Not be installed or attempted to be installed;
    • Be in original, unused condition as received;
    • Include all original packaging, screws, accessories, and components.
  • Items showing signs of installation or use (including tool marks, bent terminals, cut or stripped wires, scratches, removed protective films, missing screws, or altered finishes) will not qualify for a refund or exchange and may be returned to you at your expense.
  • Dimmer switch returns due to lighting incompatibility are not accepted. It is the customer’s responsibility to verify that their fixtures and LED drivers are compatible with TRIAC leading-edge dimmers or the type of dimmer specified in the product description.
  • We strongly recommend ordering one sample dimmer or plate to test compatibility and appearance before placing a large or project-wide order.
  • Non-Returnable Items (No Exceptions):
    • Custom or engraved items
    • Unlacquered aged brass plates and finishes (due to natural aging and patina development)
    • All 3-gang, 4-gang, and 5-gang switch plates (made to order and often configured to specific layouts)
    • All handle hardware: knobs, pulls, handles, and related accessories
    • Any custom layout, special request order, or non-standard configuration
  • Where a refund is approved, it will be processed to the original method of payment, minus any applicable shipping costs and restocking fees (if specified in the return instructions).

6. Intellectual Property

  • All logos, trademarks, product designs, photographs, graphics, text, and other content displayed on this Site are the exclusive property of PlatePrestige and/or BrightHub Innovations, or used under license.
  • No content from this Site may be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed, transmitted, displayed, or otherwise used without our prior written permission.
  • Any unauthorized use of our intellectual property may result in legal action.

7. Limitation of Liability

  • Products must be installed by a licensed electrician and used in accordance with all applicable local, state, and national electrical codes (including the U.S. National Electrical Code, where applicable).
  • PlatePrestige is not responsible for injury, damage, or loss of any kind arising from:
    • Improper installation or wiring;
    • Use contrary to local electrical codes or regulations;
    • Overloading electrical circuits or using non-rated bulbs or devices;
    • Modifications, alterations, or misuse of any product;
    • Incompatible dimmer loads or non-compliant electrical systems.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to your purchase or use of our products will be limited to the amount you paid for the specific product giving rise to the claim.
  • In no event will we be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, or business interruption.

8. Product Certifications & Compliance

We aim to provide clear information about our product certifications and intended applications.

  • Internal electrical components, such as certain dimmers, outlets, and toggle mechanisms, may be UL or cULus listed where explicitly stated on the product page.
  • Decorative components — including smooth toggles, brass plates, decorative knobs, and aged finishes — are not UL-certified, which is standard for many decorative hardware components.
  • UL or equivalent listing may be required for certain inspected commercial or public projects. It is your responsibility to confirm these requirements before purchasing.

Customer Responsibilities:

  • You must verify that the products you purchase comply with your local electrical code, building regulations, and inspection requirements.
  • By purchasing non-UL decorative components, you acknowledge and accept responsibility for their installation and use.
  • We do not assume liability for installation errors, code violations, or incompatibility with non-compliant electrical systems.

9. Intended Use

  • Our products are designed primarily for indoor residential use, unless otherwise specified.
  • Installation should always be performed by a licensed electrician or qualified professional.
  • If you are unsure whether a product is suitable for your intended application, we encourage you to consult with a professional or contact us before placing an order.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the laws of the state in which PlatePrestige operates, without giving effect to any conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms, the Site, or any purchase made through the Site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located within the applicable state of operation of PlatePrestige, and you consent to such jurisdiction and venue.
