How to Choose Your 4-Gang Dimmer
Four controls, not four control locations. A 4-gang layout groups four dimmers on one wall plate. The gang count does not establish support for a 4-way circuit or control of one light from four locations.
- Match the circuit: single-pole control is for a light operated from one location; 3-way control is for a light operated from two locations. Have your electrician confirm the requirements of each lighting zone.
- Select Dimmer Type: choose the listed Single Pole or Single Pole / 3-Way option after confirming the required model. Their ON/OFF actions differ; see Single-Pole vs 3-Way below.

- 3-Way: push the knob for ON/OFF, then rotate to dim.
Before You Buy
This 4-gang brass dimmer switch uses Leading Edge (TRIAC) dimming. For each lighting zone, confirm the exact bulb or LED driver is compatible with the selected dimmer model and check the applicable load limits; a “dimmable” label alone does not confirm compatibility. It is not compatible with trailing-edge, 0–10V, ELV, or smart bulbs, so be sure to check your bulb or driver specs before ordering. If you are replacing an existing dimmer, confirm whether your setup requires single pole or 3-way wiring.
